Brilliant Hires Refund Policy
1.1 This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for purchases made on the Brilliant Hires platform. It is designed to provide transparency, set clear expectations, and guide users through the process should they wish to request a refund for eligible services.

1. Purpose and Scope
This policy applies to all users of Brilliant Hires who purchase paid plans, features, or upgrades directly through our Platform. These include:
Employer subscriptions such as the Free (limited upgrade), Essential, Standard, and Executive plans
Candidate premium services, including the Access, Explorer, Top Talent Plan and other visibility enhancing features
The policy covers transactions made directly via the Brilliant Hires website or mobile interface and does not extend to payments or services provided by third parties, including external job boards, payment gateways, or integrated tools, unless expressly stated.
By using our Platform and purchasing any subscription or service, you agree to the terms set forth in this Refund Policy, as well as the applicable Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. General Refund Principles
Brilliant Hires maintains a fair but firm approach to refunds. All purchases made on the Platform are considered final, unless explicitly stated otherwise in this policy.
Refunds are not issued automatically and are considered on a case-by-case basis. We do not offer blanket refunds for user dissatisfaction, change of mind, unused time within a billing cycle, or unused features. Refunds may only be granted under specific, verifiable conditions such as:
Duplicate or erroneous charges
Documented service outages that materially impacted access to paid features
Functional failures or platform errors that prevented core services from being delivered as promised
Partial refunds are rare and issued solely at the discretion of Brilliant Hires. We reserve the right to approve or deny refund requests based on usage history, service logs, account activity, and the nature of the issue reported.
Users are encouraged to review the features and limits of their selected plan before making a purchase, and to contact our support team with any questions or concerns prior to subscribing.
3. Subscription Plans
Brilliant Hires offers subscription-based services on both monthly and annual billing cycles. The type of plan you choose determines your access period, renewal schedule, and eligibility for refunds. Please read this section carefully to understand how your subscription type affects refund requests.
3.1 Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly plans are billed in advance and renew automatically every 30 days unless canceled. You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time from your account settings. Once canceled, your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Please note: We do not offer pro-rated refunds for cancellations made partway through a monthly billing cycle. You will continue to have access to your plan’s features until the billing period ends.
3.2 Annual Subscriptions
Annual plans are billed in full at the start of the subscription term and renew automatically every 12 months unless canceled in advance. You may cancel an annual subscription at any time; however, refund eligibility is limited to the following condition:
A refund may be granted if the cancellation request is submitted within 7 calendar days of the original purchase or renewal and the plan has not been used in any meaningful way (e.g., no jobs posted, no messages sent, no resumes downloaded).
Requests made beyond the 7-day window, or after substantial use of the service, are not eligible for refunds.
3.3 Free Trials
Some subscription plans may begin with a free trial period. If your subscription includes a trial:
You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
You must cancel before the end of the trial to avoid automatic billing.
Once the trial converts into a paid subscription, the charge is final and non-refundable unless a billing error has occurred.
It is your responsibility to monitor the trial period and take appropriate action if you do not wish to continue with a paid plan.
4. Refund Eligibility Criteria
While all purchases on Brilliant Hires are generally final, we recognize that certain rare circumstances may warrant a refund. Requests will be reviewed carefully and considered only if they meet at least one of the following criteria:
4.1 Duplicate Charges or Mistaken Renewals
You may be eligible for a full or partial refund if:
You were charged more than once for the same subscription or service.
A subscription renewed unexpectedly due to a technical error, and you notify us within 7 calendar days of the charge.
4.2 Service Outages Exceeding 48 Hours
If a platform-wide outage lasting longer than 48 consecutive hours prevents access to core features (e.g., messaging, job posting, application tracking), and you are on a paid plan, you may request a refund proportionate to the duration and severity of the outage.
4.3 Unresolved Technical Issues
If you experience a persistent technical issue that prevents you from using a major paid feature, and:
You report the issue to support,
We confirm the issue through logs or account data, and
It remains unresolved for 5 or more business days,
you may be eligible for a partial or full refund depending on the scope and impact of the disruption.
4.4 Unavailable or Misrepresented Features
If a core feature promoted as part of your subscription is demonstrably non-functional, materially restricted, or unavailable and no equivalent alternative has been provided, we may issue a refund if the issue significantly impacts your use of the service.
4.5 Unauthorized Account Access
If your account is accessed and used without your permission, resulting in unwanted subscription activity (e.g., plan upgrades, feature purchases), and you can provide clear evidence of the unauthorized access, a refund may be granted after investigation.
Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction with content, employer or candidate responses, lack of hires or job offers, or unused time or features unless connected to one of the eligibility cases above.
5. Non-Refundable Items
To maintain fairness, clarity, and operational consistency, the following items and services are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, regardless of usage or account activity:
5.1 Resume Downloads
All resume downloads, whether accessed or not are non-refundable once purchased or allocated as part of a subscription. This includes bulk resume credits and single-download options.
5.2 Featured Job Post Boosts
Once a job post is marked as “Featured” or otherwise promoted using a paid visibility boost, the associated payment is non-refundable. This applies even if the post is later edited, withdrawn, or expires early.
5.3 Partially Consumed Subscription Periods
If you cancel your subscription partway through an active billing cycle (monthly or annual), you are not eligible for a refund for the unused portion of that period. Continued access to the service will remain active until the end of the paid term.
5.4 One-Time Promotional Purchases
Optional add-ons such as:
Profile prioritization
Highlight badges
Unlocks or credits for additional features
are not refundable once purchased, regardless of whether they are fully utilized.
5.5 Limited-Time or Discretionary Bonus Features
Bonus services or upgrades provided during promotions, beta testing, giveaways, or offered as goodwill by support or marketing teams do not hold monetary value and are non-refundable under any circumstance.
We strongly encourage all users to review feature descriptions and plan details before making a purchase, and to contact support with any questions prior to checkout.
6. Request Process
If you believe you are eligible for a refund under this policy, you must submit a formal request within the applicable time frame.
6.1 Submission Requirements
All refund requests must be submitted through our contact form no later than 14 calendar days from the date of the original transaction. Requests submitted beyond this period will not be considered.
To help us process your request efficiently, please include the following information:
Your full name
The email address associated with your Brilliant Hires account
The date of the transaction in question
A clear and concise explanation of the reason for the refund request
Any relevant evidence (e.g., screenshots, billing receipts, error messages, support ticket numbers)
Incomplete requests may be delayed or denied if we are unable to verify the transaction or understand the issue.
6.2 Review and Resolution Timeline
Once we receive your complete refund request, our support team will:
Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
Review the request and validate eligibility based on this policy
Respond with a decision within 7 business days
If your refund is approved, the amount will be issued back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
Note: Refunds may take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or payment processor. Brilliant Hires is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions.
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Brilliant Hires is committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly. If you believe you have been charged in error or require a refund, we strongly encourage you to contact our support team before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card provider.
We are often able to resolve concerns promptly through direct communication, and doing so helps maintain uninterrupted access to your account.
7.1 Consequences of Unauthorized Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with our team may be considered a violation of these terms and may result in the following actions:
Immediate suspension of account access and any active job listings or profile visibility enhancements
Blocking of future purchases or billing capabilities on the Platform
Permanent account deactivation for repeated or fraudulent disputes, including loss of access to any saved data, history, or in-progress applications
We reserve the right to dispute any unjustified chargebacks and may submit evidence to the payment processor to support the validity of the original transaction.
If you believe a transaction was made fraudulently or without your authorization, please contact us immediately so we can investigate and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
8. Changes to This Refund Policy
Brilliant Hires reserves the right to modify, revise, or update this Refund Policy at any time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or legal obligations.

Applicable only on a prospective basis, meaning they will not affect prior purchases or refund decisions unless explicitly stated
